Eric Friel, BS

Eric is from Dittmer, Missouri, and has an associate degree (AAT) in teaching from Jefferson College. He will soon graduate from the University of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL) with a BS in Psychology and a further certificate in Neuroscience with a minor in Philosophy. He spent nine years in the Marine Corps and has practical work experience in the Missouri Departments of Corrections and Mental Health. He applied to the Neuroprep Scholar Program because he is a first-generation student and requires more in-depth research experience and synthesis between work and academic life for further competitive Ph.D. programs. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his four children.
